Restaurant Air Conditioning
Dining Areas | Kitchens | Bars | Out-of-Hours Installation | South East
Restaurant air conditioning directly affects covers, customer satisfaction and staff retention. On a 30°C summer day, an air-conditioned restaurant fills while competitors with hot interiors stand empty. AirCon Doctor install and maintain air conditioning in restaurants, cafes, bars and hospitality venues across Surrey, Sussex and South London — working out of hours as standard to avoid any disruption to service.
Dining Area Cooling
We size dining area air conditioning for peak summer occupancy — accounting for the heat generated by diners, kitchen equipment radiation and solar gain through front-of-house glazing. For smaller restaurants, wall-mounted units positioned to circulate air without creating cold draughts at table level are the standard approach. For larger premises or where aesthetics require it, ceiling cassette units provide more even distribution without visible wall-mounted units in the dining space.
Kitchen Area Cooling
Commercial kitchen environments require specific consideration — standard comfort cooling units are not appropriate for grease-laden kitchen air. We specify commercial units with grease protection for kitchen installations, combined with appropriate extraction ventilation. Kitchen cooling is a staff welfare requirement — heat stress is a significant occupational health issue in professional kitchens during summer service.
Bar and Function Rooms
Bar tops, function rooms and private dining spaces each have their own capacity and usage profile. We design multi-zone systems that allow independent control of each area — the restaurant dining area and bar can operate at different temperatures simultaneously on a properly designed system.
Out-of-Hours Installation as Standard
All restaurant installations are carried out overnight — arriving after evening service and completing before the kitchen opens for lunch service. We have carried out installations in active restaurant environments many times and understand the requirements: working cleanly, leaving no debris near food preparation areas, completing on schedule.
Food Safety Compliance
All materials used in food preparation areas are appropriate for clinical cleaning regimes and food contact environments. We provide material safety data sheets on request for any client subject to food safety inspections.

We cover restaurants in Brighton, Guildford, Horsham, Crawley, Croydon and across Surrey, Sussex and South London.
