The Daikin Altherma is one of the most widely specified air source heat pumps in the UK — a complete heating and hot water system that replaces a gas boiler, qualifies for the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant and reduces carbon emissions significantly. Daikin Altherma Models
Altherma 3 H HT: High-temperature heat pump delivering flow temperatures up to 70°C — designed specifically for retrofit into existing homes with standard radiators. Does not require radiator upgrades in most properties. This is our most commonly installed Altherma model for retrofit applications.
Altherma 3 H: Standard temperature heat pump (up to 55°C flow temperature). More efficient than the HT model at lower temperatures. Ideal for properties with underfloor heating or oversized radiators.
Altherma 3 R: Integrated monobloc unit with all refrigerant components in the outdoor unit — no refrigerant connections required inside the house. Simplified installation, suitable for properties where indoor unit space is limited.
BUS Grant — £7,500 Off
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme grants £7,500 towards the cost of an air source heat pump installation. As MCS certified installers, we apply for and manage the BUS grant on behalf of our clients — it is deducted directly from your invoice. Eligibility requires a valid EPC and MCS-certified installation.
Is Daikin Altherma Right for My Home?
The Altherma 3 H HT — with its 70°C maximum flow temperature — is suitable for the vast majority of UK homes including those with standard radiators. Before quoting, we carry out a full heat loss calculation and radiator sizing check to confirm that your existing distribution system will work effectively with the heat pump.
