Why We Recommend Daikin
Daikin’s strengths are efficiency and design. The Perfera series carries some of the highest SCOP heating efficiency figures available in the UK residential market. The Emura and Stylish series are the most aesthetically considered air conditioning units on the market — the Emura in particular looks like a deliberate design feature rather than a functional appliance. Daikin also has strong UK parts availability — a meaningful advantage for long-term reliability on commercial installations.
The Daikin Residential Range
Daikin Perfera — Highest Efficiency
The Perfera carries SCOP figures that put it among the most efficient residential heat pumps available. The 2.0kW and 2.5kW models are particularly outstanding for small rooms. Flash Streamer air purification. Built-in wifi. 20dB minimum fan speed. A compelling choice where running costs are the primary consideration.

Daikin Emura — Premium Design
The Emura is the most distinctive air conditioning unit on the market — a curved design in white or silver that looks deliberate and considered in a living room or bedroom. Equivalent performance to the Perfera with the addition of the distinctive aesthetic. Our recommendation for clients where the unit will be prominent in a well-designed interior.
Typical installed price: £1,800–2,400 for 2.5kW.
Daikin Stylish — Contemporary Design at Lower Cost
The Stylish series offers Daikin’s design-led approach at a more accessible price point than the Emura. Available in silver, white and black. Strong performance figures. A good mid-point between the Perfera (efficiency focus) and Emura (premium design).
Typical installed price: £1,400–1,800 for 2.5kW.
Daikin Sensira — Accessible Entry Point
The Sensira is Daikin’s entry-level residential unit — reliable, efficient and significantly cheaper than the premium range. 22dB minimum fan speed — good for living rooms and secondary bedrooms. Our recommendation when budget is the primary consideration but Daikin brand reliability is wanted.
Typical installed price: £1,100–1,500 for 2.5kW.
Daikin Multi-Split (3MXM / 4MXM / 5MXM)
Daikin’s multi-split range connects 2–5 indoor units to a single outdoor unit. All indoor units can be from any Daikin series — mixing Perfera and Sensira indoor units on one system is possible, allowing premium specification in the bedroom and standard specification in secondary rooms.
Typical installed price: £3,000–4,500 for 2 rooms; £5,000–9,000 for 4-5 rooms.
Commercial Daikin Systems
Daikin VRV (VRF)
Daikin coined the term VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) and the VRV system is the original commercial VRF air conditioning. Widely specified in UK commercial buildings — excellent efficiency, comprehensive indoor unit range, strong parts and service availability through Daikin’s own UK service network.
Daikin Sky Air
The Sky Air range covers commercial split and multi-split applications for small-to-medium commercial premises — the commercial equivalent of the residential range with higher capacities and commercial-grade build quality.
