Bromley and Orpington are two of south east London’s most prosperous outer boroughs — Bromley as a major retail and residential centre, and Orpington at the very edge of London adjacent to the Kent countryside. Here is the 2026 cost guide for both areas.

| Annual service | £95 – £150 |
Bromley — Major Retail Centre
Bromley has one of the busiest town centres in Greater London outside of the West End — the Glades Shopping Centre and the surrounding High Street attract significant footfall. Commercial air conditioning in retail and professional services premises is a consistent market. Residential Bromley has a high proportion of large Victorian and Edwardian semi-detached houses in the Shortlands, Sundridge Park and Bickley areas — these properties are increasingly specified with multi-room installations.
Orpington — Semi-Rural Suburbia
Orpington represents the outer edge of Greater London where the suburban character gives way to genuine countryside. The residential areas of Green Street Green, Chelsfield and Farnborough have large detached properties with gardens that represent the premium end of the local installation market. The proximity to the M25 Junction 4 makes Orpington accessible for commercial activity on the surrounding business parks.
Beckenham and Crystal Palace
The neighbouring areas of Beckenham and Crystal Palace, while administered by different boroughs, are geographically close to Bromley and are markets we cover regularly. Crystal Palace in particular has seen significant gentrification and has an active market for domestic air conditioning in its Victorian terraced and semi-detached housing stock.
